Savannah Chrisley’s Southwest rant sparks airline reaction: She told ‘a different story’

Savannah Chrisley has gone on a rant against Southwest Airlines, claiming that a flight attendant who works at the airline’s airport kiosk kicked her off the flight simply because she wanted to hold her luggage instead of checking it out at the gate. However, a rep for the airline told ET that it told a “different story.”

The podcast host took to her Instagram Stories Thursday and posted several videos explaining that she was supposed to be on a flight home, but instead missed her flight and was forced to board another flight with a connecting stop in Baltimore. Chrisley claimed the problem started when the flight attendant told her she had to check her bag and couldn’t take it as carry-on.

“So I officially know why everyone hates the Southwest so much,” she began her video.

She then rotated her video to show the flight attendant who allegedly kicked her off the flight, as she captioned it, before calling it “freaky” and an “a**hole.”

“So, I went on my flight to board and he told me I had to check my bag,” Chrisley said. “I was like, ‘Okay. I will, if you don’t mind, I’ll take my suitcase on the plane [and] See if I can make it fit, if not I’ll check it out. His exact words were, “No, that’s not happening.” “

“I was like, ‘Okay, okay, let’s go ahead and tag that in case I have to check it out, but I’d love to see if there’s any room for that,'” I continued, “You’re a wild traveler.”

Chrisley went on to claim that the pilot “was standing next to me” and allegedly told the flight attendant that “he needed to calm down and he would find a place for my bag”.

The podcast host, whose parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, are serving a 19-year prison sentence after being convicted in a federal tax fraud case, claimed that “the host at Southwest literally looked at the pilot — the guy who flies our plane and is responsible for our safety, the most important person at Southwest.” Airlines – He looked at him and said, “Stay away from it.”

Chrisley then claimed that the flight attendant told her she would not be traveling on the plane.

A representative for Southwest Airlines told ET that it is aware of Chrisley’s video and is “looking into the situation.” However, the rep continued, “Our initial reports suggest a different story than the one in the customer’s account, where she arrived at the gate late in the boarding process and was repeatedly mishandled by our employee after being asked to check her bag at the gate.”

The representative continued, “As a result, the customer was denied boarding her original flight, and we booked her on a later flight that same day.”

Chrisley admitted in her story that she insulted the flight attendant after the pilot was involved.

“Now, I’m not going to lie, when this Southwest flight attendant told the pilot to calm down, I told the Southwest flight attendant he didn’t have to be an a**hole today,” she said. “And then he kicked me off the plane.”

Chrisley also claimed she told the flight attendant that she had to get her 10-year-old sister home that night, but the flight attendant allegedly told her, “I don’t care.”

She went on to sabotage the airline and implored the “good looking” pilot to switch airlines, and she even got a parting shot to the flight attendant.

“I told him I hope he finds a better purpose in his life,” Chrisley said in the video. “Maybe I shouldn’t have said it. But Satan came over me and after that Jesus didn’t come out.”

Chrisley claimed that she “never flew” Southwest again and that the airline should “get you two together because your airline sucks in a nutshell.”
