Tej Pratap Yadav Quits as Mentor of RJD’s Youth Wing, Takes Veiled Dig at Brother Tejashwi

New Delhi: Just ahead of Lok Sabha elections, Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, has announced his resignation as the mentor of the RJD’s youth wing.

Taking to Twitter, Yadav, who has been away from politics for a while, said, “I am resigning as the of RJD’s youth wing.”

Without naming anyone, he also took a dig at his detractors and said those who consider him immature were themselves immature and it would soon be clear who is in over their head.

Although he did not name anyone, the tweet is being seen as an attack on his brother and RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav.

There have been a lot of speculations of a power tussle between Tej Pratap and Tejashwi, who has emerged as the political successor of Lalu Prasad.

In January, Tej Pratap had cleared the air that there was no fracture in his relationship with his younger brother and posted a photo of him touching his feet.

Tej Pratap has served as a minister in the Bihar government and was recently in news over his divorce. Relations had soured between the two after Tej Pratap filed for divorce from his wife of five months, Aishwarya Rai. He has then alleged that his family has turned against him and was supporting “the girl”
