Sun mod He breaks his silence for the first time since then Avril Lavigne He called off the ex-couple’s engagement… saying he was dealing with a broken heart.

The singer took to his Instagram on Tuesday to say, “In one week my life completely changed… I just know there’s a plan for everything. I’ll keep my head + always listen to my heart, even when I’m feeling broken 💔”

Mod was on tour, promoting his album “God Save The Teen” when TMZ broke the story he and Avril wrote The relationship ended …and life on the road and seeing his fans seem to have worked as therapy.

Mod continues, “To be surrounded by love every night on tour has been an absolute blessing. I have the best friends in the whole world, thank you for always having my back. See you on stage.”

Sources connected to the couple tell us they were “on and off” for several months before Avril decided to pull the plug.

The split came on the heels of a series of photos that Avril appeared in with Nobu Tyga and a group of friends. It was Avril and Tyga Spotted hugs in the parking lot of the celebrity hot spot, but our sources say they aren’t romantic, just good friends.
