Jamie Foxx has received support online after posting on social media for the first time since being admitted to the hospital.

The Oscar-winning actor has been in the hospital for several weeks after recent “medical complications.”

And he posted a note on Instagram that read, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.”

Fox’s daughter said last month that he was being treated “with great care” but did not specify what had happened to him.

Corinne Foxx’s original post read: “We wanted to share that my dad, Jamie Foxx, had medical complications yesterday.

“Thankfully, because of the quick work and great care, he’s already on the road to recovery.

“We know how loved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family is asking for privacy during this time. Much love, Fox family.”

The 55-year-old was reportedly hospitalized in Atlanta, Georgia while filming Back In Action alongside Cameron Diaz.

Foxx also received support from Friends actor Courteney Cox and singer John Legend in the form of a prayer emoji.

“a lot of progress”

Ansel Elgort, who starred alongside Foxx in 2017’s Baby Driver, wrote: “You are the greatest Jimmy, please get well soon. You are a blessing to this world, we need you in it.”

Hart added, “I’m so lucky to have a relationship with Jimmy and just be able to check on him and things like that.”

Foxx also thanked actor Nick Cannon on Instagram for filling in as host of the music TV game show Beat Shazam.

In a statement, the show’s producers said, “Everyone at FOX Entertainment wishes Jimmy well as he continues his recovery, and we greatly appreciate Nick’s willingness to get involved and help this summer.”
