Modi and his Australian counterpart will embark on a two-day visit to the Indian state of Gujarat starting on Wednesday, before attending a cricket match between the two countries in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

Albanese is expected to visit the Sabarmati Ashram, one of the residences of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of India and the leader of the freedom movement from British colonialism.
