Disney fanatic Jeff Ritz has been the happiest person on earth for over a decade.
On Tuesday, Britz was finally recognized as the Guinness World Record holder for his most consecutive visits to Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
The Ritz has visited “The Happiest Place on Earth” for 2,995 consecutive days, a streak that began on January 1, 2012, and ended on March 13, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 50-year-old from Huntington Beach, California, who first made headlines in 2017 after reaching 2,000 consecutive visits, said he set out on the trip on New Year’s Day in 2012 with his ex-girlfriend when they were both unemployed and he thought they were They will be. The fun of visiting the theme park every day during a leap year.
“It started as a joke between friends,” Ritz said He told Guinness World Records for his standard declaration.
As Reitz’s Disney ride gained more traction, his celebrity status around the theme park rivaled that of Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

During his historic travels, Reitz made a variety of appointments on instagram, He’s dedicated to giving his followers news updates about rides and attractions, sharing videos of him all over the park, and even pictures of Disney cast members.
After getting a job as a hospital attendant, Ritz still visits the park—with friends and alone—and makes sure to schedule certain occasions.
“Even having a full-time job requires me to keep close tabs on the park calendar along with my own calendar to make sure I can get to Disneyland before they close when they have special events,” Ritz said.
Ritz he said to the outlet He loves to walk around, maybe go on some games or just relax in a certain area.
“I usually just walk around the park. I enjoy photography so I’ve always seen pictures to take that I can post to share.”
Ritz didn’t always go on all the rides but he did have one favorite, “There’s only one ‘ride’ in Disneyland, and that’s Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride.”
When it was announced in mid-March 2020 that Disneyland would temporarily close due to the pandemic, Reitz documented every moment of the last day of his streak, making eight posts featuring the characters’ recent walks and last sweep of the park.
Disney awarded the fanatic a gift basket and an honorary citizenship certificate after his 366th visit. He was offered dinner to complete his sophomore year and was awarded a backpack on the 2000th day.
