The public will be expecting the 2016 Cadillac CT6 Hybrid at the Auto Shanghai 2015, although there was no official announcement yet. The product chief of General Motors, Mark Reuss, however, gave a hint in an Autoblog interview.
According to sources, the GM executive said the Cadillac CT6 Hybrid will possibly be shown at the auto show, but no announcement of details. There are also rumors that the CT6 might have a similar setup to the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid, which means a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine, two-motor drive units that will allow the production of 182 horsepower.
The all-new CT6 is the flagship sedan that is manufactured by the brand. It has been officially shown at the 2015 New York Auto Show. The new Cadillac CT6 stands 5,184 mm long, 1,472 mm tall, and 1,879 mm wide, along with a wheelbase measuring at 3,106 mm long.
The CT6 is the same in size with the BMW 7-Series’ short wheelbase and comes with the protruding front grille, slightly sloping roofline, along with high quality materials within the cabin, exotic wood, and carbon fiber trim. The interior has a CUE infotainment system, center console mounted touchpad controller, OnSTar 4G LTE with a Wi-Fi hotspot, and so on. The CT6 is powered by a 3.6L V6 engine with 335 horsepower and 3.0L V6 twin-turbo engine with 400 horsepower.
